The cycle/pedestrian path on Garda
The most spectacular panoramic walkway in Europe
Defined as a true "walkway of dreams," the Limone sul Garda Cycle and Pedestrian Path is an engineering masterpiece that allows you to walk and cycle suspended directly over the water. Set into the rock, this route offers a unique emotion, where the feeling of floating in mid-air meets the majesty of the landscape.
The Limone stretch winds for about 2.5 kilometers starting from Capo Reamol towards the border with Trentino. Anchored to the cliff face, the structure juts directly out over the lake, offering a 360-degree view: in front, the blue of Garda; opposite, Mount Baldo; and beneath your feet, the transparency of the waves.
How to best experience it:
- On foot or by bike: The route is completely flat, paved with eco-wood slats, and suitable for everyone. It is ideal both for a relaxing family stroll and for a panoramic bike ride.
- The morning and sunset atmosphere: To enjoy maximum tranquility and take memorable photos, walk or cycle along it at the first light of dawn or at sunset, when the warm light illuminates the rock walls and the air cools down.
- Night lighting: Thanks to a modern and eco-friendly LED lighting system embedded in the railing, the walkway transforms in the evening into a charming ribbon of light, perfect for a romantic walk under the stars.
Starting from the hotel's hillside location, the route initially goes down toward the center and lakefront of Limone (with an uphill return), then continues to the start of the cycle path. Only the actual suspended walkway itself (about 2 km up to the Trentino border) is completely flat, paved with eco-wood, and suitable for everyone.
